Situated in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, Mackland strives to find the perfect balance between conformation, companionship and the ultimate performance dog! Our dogs all have succeeded in multiple disciplines - such as Agility, Dog Jumping, Obedience, Working trials, Flyball, Carting and Conformation/ Breed. After struggling with conventional methods for a few years,  alternate means of training were investigated. The positive reinforcement method took our fancy, and we began rewarding for good behaviour.  Clicker training was added to the training programme, and suddenly we had a recipe for success..! We strive to create drive in our dogs, through play and reward, and our ambition is to maintain a good ranking in Agility in South Africa at all times, and to preserve a working bond with each of our dogs.
Initially formed for our working dogs that were not bred for the breed ring, but rather for obedience, or farm work, our family grew to include dogs from top conformation lines, while still maintaining an exceptional working ability.
